Hiya I'm Sophie,
I'm a 23-year-old journalism graduate with a passion for story-telling in all its forms. As a freelance journalist specialising in features, I'm keen to tell my own and other people's stories through my words, photos and videos.

Whilst studying my MA in journalism I completed a six week placement at The Irish News, in October last year I was invited back to work for the paper on a full time basis. During this time I have sourced, written and produced a wide range of features, news stories, opinion columns, food reviews and other content which have been published online and in print.

This little corner of the internet captures some of the highlights from my career so far.

Alongside spending too much time in fictional worlds, I'm also a dog-lover, day dreamer, shower singer and massive foodie. In my free time, I enjoy creative writing - my poetry anthology Growing Pains was published in October 2023 and is available to buy on Amazon. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
